MAXIMALdesign was commissioned by the church of Ranst to design their altar counter. They requested a breach from the past, together with specific functional demands: a revolving bible stand, cable management and durable materials. The outspoken design breathes openness and spirituality.

The internal cavity is finished with mirrors which reflect the church interior from different perspectives. The upgrade of the soundsystem was integrated and paper tray with glass holder were foreseen, in case the paster was lost for words or had a dry troth. The shock of the introduction is replaced with the pride of the parrish, knowing that they now have a unique and contemporary setting, uniting people.
